Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Pharmacy Technology. The Pharmacy Technician Instructor will deliver lectures and labs, develop syllabi, and assess student progress across multiple locations.

Minimum qualifications include a certified Pharmacy Technician, an Associate degree or higher, and active licensure as a Pharmacist, with a commitment to professional development and student-centered teaching. The posted rate is $640 per credit hour.

Qualifications

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician with an Associate Degree or higher; pursuing a teaching credential.
  • Licensed Pharmacist; evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the appropriate level.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with students and faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and delivers instruction in classroom and clinical facilities.
  • Grades and returns student work with timely feedback.
  • Develops curricula, syllabi, and instructional materials.
  • Maintains office hours and assists in recruitment and retention.
  • Keeps accurate attendance and grade records per FERPA.
  • Attends faculty meetings and participates in committees.
  • Promotes learning through current literature and professional activities.
  • Supports departmental and college service obligations.
