Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. You will perform technical duties involved with handling, packaging, and delivering pharmaceuticals and support two or more pharmacy function areas.

Required: current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration and one year of experience. Preferred: certification through PTCB or NHA to enhance your qualifications and career growth.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
• The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient).
• Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
