Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. You will handle packaging and delivery of pharmaceuticals and may work in multiple pharmacy functions such as production, inventory, and patient care across age groups.

Required: GA registration and 1 year of experience; preferred: PTCB or NHA certification. Weekend and one weeknight shifts are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Preferred: PTCB or NHA certification.

Responsibilities

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Work Hours:

weekend 8:30a-9z; and one weeknight 5-9pm
