Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Qualified candidates must hold Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration and have at least 1 year of experience. Certification through PTCB or NHA is preferred to advance within the team.

Responsibilities

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
