Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing orders. The role involves handling, packaging, and delivering pharmaceuticals across multiple specialty areas in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will hold Georgia registration and have at least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a preference for those who are PTCB or NHA certified. Work hours include evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
• The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient).
• Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
