Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing orders, and to perform technical duties in packaging and delivery of pharmaceuticals.

The role provides patient care across age groups and requires current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration and at least one year of experience.

Preferred candidates may have PTCB or NHA certification.

Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders. Performs various technical duties involved with the handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Tech II demonstrates proficiency to practice in two (2) or more specific pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding and home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

REQUIRED:

1. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
2. One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

PREFERRED:

1. Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
