Salinas Valley Health in Salinas, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with preparing, verifying and delivering medications, including chemotherapy and other sterile products, under supervision. You will enter orders, stock units and ensure accuracy in patient profiles.

The role requires CA Pharmacy Technician certification, hospital experience and Pyxis proficiency, with chemotherapy certification preferred. Talyst packaging support is used as needed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech Certification course is required.
• Current California Pharmacy Technician Certificate required.
• SVMH Chemotherapy Certification required.

Responsabilités

• Assist pharmacists with preparing, verifying and delivering medications to patients under supervision.
• Enter medication orders into computer profiles and manage unit dose distribution.
• Prepare sterile products, chemotherapy, and IV admixtures under safety protocols.
• Stock, rotate and replace outdated drugs; operate Pyxis and Talyst systems.
• Participate in training, orientation and competency assessments.
