Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wake Forest Medical Center - Retail Pharmacy: Specialty Rx seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to join the Winston-Salem campus team. This full-time day role supports pharmacists by preparing and processing medication orders, maintaining stock, and delivering pharmacy services in patient care areas.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be certified (CPhT) and register with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
• Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency.
• Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available.
• Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas.
• Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and supports the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
• Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others.
• Sets personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
• Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork.
• Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.
