Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Pharmacy on the third shift. You'll assist licensed pharmacists, prepare and label medications, and help with distribution and inventory tasks.

This full-time role offers 35 hours per week, 7 on/7 off schedule with 10-hour shifts, and a $6,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CPhT or ExCPT certification, and NC

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
CPhT or ExCPT certification required.
North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
Select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
Screen calls and route messages with proper etiquette.
Document procedures for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances as applicable.
Perform nonsterile compounding following USP standards where applicable.
Perform sterile IV admixture using aseptic technique where applicable.
Inspect storage areas for policy adherence and accuracy.
Document medication admission histories and data entry for records.
Support training of technicians and extenders as needed.
Adhere to policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
