Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a Pharmacy II Technician to support the pharmacy team under a pharmacist's direction. This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and rotating 8.5-hour shifts between 6am and 11pm, with every-other weekend rotation.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile and non-sterile medications, supporting drug distribution, and performing duties consistent with Pharmacy Technician I & II roles.

Qualifications

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license required.
• 1 year pharmacy technician experience required.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and PTCB OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
• Manage the drug distribution system and provide technical support in safe, effective, patient-focused drug therapy.
