Job summary

The Tohono O'odham Nation Healthcare (TONHC) seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Department at Sells Hospital in Sells, Arizona, or at affiliated Health Care Centers. The incumbent will perform stocking, ordering, and routine drug distribution under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

This role emphasizes accurate medication handling, inventory control, and collaboration with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient services.
• Ability to follow policies and guidelines independently.
• Familiarity with drug storage and stock rotation.
• Understanding of state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Order and stock medications from supply, excluding class II narcotics.
• Maintain medication inventory and narcotics records.
• Prepare and prepackage drugs for dispensing.
• Print labels for prepackaged medications.
• Fill inpatient and outpatient drug requests.
• Assist pharmacy staff with prescription filling and patient calls.
• Operate hospital computer systems and patient chart software.
• Ensure shelves and storage areas are clean and organized.
