Job summary

Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care at Sells Hospital seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide comprehensive inpatient care for acutely ill medical, obstetric, and pediatric patients. You will document in the EHR and coordinate with the care team to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include administering medications and IV therapy, preparing patients for tests, and participating in discharge planning and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree or diploma approved by the State Accrediting agency.
• Experience in inpatient care preferred.
• Active, current nursing license in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients in inpatient units.
• Record patient care in the electronic health record accurately and timely.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV therapy, and oxygen as needed.
• Prepare patients for tests and procedures and assist as required.
• Collaborate with the care team and report unusual findings to the supervisor.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Ensure proper documentation of vital signs, intake/output, and treatment effects.
• Support infection control, quality, and safety initiatives.
