Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Clinical Specialist for the Supply Chain and Operations team in the Inpatient Pharmacy. The position requires a Doctor of Pharmacy (or PharmD) with MA license by hire date, at least three years of pharmacy experience, and mastery of Epic, Pyxis, and Omnicell.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Massachusetts pharmacist license by the hire date.
• Minimum three years of pharmacy practice or completion of a PGY1 residency.

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmaceutical supply chain operations, including inventory and cost control.
• Lead drug shortage meetings and present updates at inpatient staff meetings.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, ensure timely deliveries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure medication availability and compliance.
• Oversee automated dispensing systems and optimize operations.
• Analyze data to monitor performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
