Job summary

Merrimack Health is seeking a Multicampus Pharmacy Supply Chain Supervisor to oversee the procurement, receiving, storage, distribution, and management of medications and related inventory across multiple hospital campuses and affiliated locations.

The role partners with Pharmacy Leadership, Purchasing, Finance, Nursing, and other clinical and operational teams to ensure medication availability while controlling costs and minimizing waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license in good standing by the hire date.
• Pharmacy Technician certification in good standing by the hire date.
• Minimum five years of hospital pharmacy experience in pharmacy purchasing and supply chain.
• Experience with 340B pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, receiving, storage, distribution and management of medications and related inventory.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Leadership, Purchasing, Finance, Nursing, Materials Management, Information Systems, wholesalers, manufacturers, and other partners to maintain medication availability while controlling costs.
• Provide day-to-day leadership for pharmacy inventory and supply chain operations across campuses.
• Support standardization of processes, systems, and inventory practices across campuses.

JOB SUMMARY

The Multicampus Pharmacy Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for the operational oversight of pharmacy supply chain activities across multiple hospital campuses and affiliated pharmacy locations within Merrimack Health. This position ensures the timely, cost-effective, compliant, and efficient procurement, receiving, storage, distribution, and management of medications, pharmaceutical supplies, and related inventory. The Supervisor works closely with Pharmacy Leadership, Purchasing, Finance, Nursing, Materials Management, Information Systems, wholesalers, manufacturers, and other clinical and operational partners to maintain medication availability while controlling costs and minimizing waste and inventory risk. This position provides day-to-day leadership for pharmacy inventory and supply chain operations and supports standardization of processes, systems, and inventory practices across campuses.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE

Required

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• The current Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license is in good standing by the hire date.
• Pharmacy Technician certification in good standing by the hire date.
• Minimum five years of hospital pharmacy experience in pharmacy purchasing and supply chain.
• Experience with 340B pharmacy operations

Preferred

• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with managing procurement utilizing DSCSA programs to ensure federal compliance with track and trace.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health-system pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical supply chain management, medication procurement, inventory optimization, drug shortage management, and medication distribution systems.
• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize operational and financial data to drive decision-making.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Meditech, Pyxis and/or Omnicell, and Macrohelix or similar 340B TPA.
