Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy and completing your first professional year (P1).
• Enrollment extends through P4 as part of Mercy Pharmacy Student program.
• Registered and in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern/Technician per state rules.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication preparation, dispensing, distribution, and inventory control.
• Support pharmacists in providing safe, accurate, and timely patient care services.
• Accurately process medication orders and documentation within pharmacy systems.
• Compound sterile products using proper aseptic technique and established procedures.
• Help maintain medication inventory and identify outdated products.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas in a timely manner.
• Support pharmacy quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist with workflow coordination and communication across departments.
• Participate in training and mentoring new team members as appropriate.
• Contribute ideas and solutions to improve efficiency, patient safety, and pharmacy operations.
