Job Description

Supports and assists the Pharmacist in the preparation, distribution, and inventory control of medication. Performs duties to provide patient-focused pharmacy services. Assists with training pharmacy technicians, serves as a resource for dispensing cabinets, helps with floor stock inspections, and contributes to workflow improvements. The Pharmacy Student will not have supervisory duties but will support entry-level technicians. The pharmacist will check all medications before dispensing. Duties are performed in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Typical shifts include one evening per week and at least one weekend per month on a PRN basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; must be accepted to or attending an accredited College of Pharmacy and remain enrolled in good standing.
• Registered in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern or Technician.
• No prior experience required.
• Demonstrates a positive work ethic, leadership, accuracy, attention to detail, computer skills, and professionalism in communication.
• Flexible to adapt to changing conditions, shifts, or positions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience (preferred but not required).
