Job summary

Essentia Health Deer River Pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to supervise and manage daily operations of the retail pharmacy. The role includes dispensing medications, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with Board of Pharmacy rules.

Clinically oriented responsibilities include optimizing drug therapy, enabling immunizations, and participating in clinical initiatives. Training of new staff, handling of patient inquiries, billing, audits, and inventory management are key duties.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited college.
• Minnesota licensure or eligibility to practice in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispensing of prescriptions to provide comprehensive pharmacy services.
• Oversee sterile compounding operations for infusion or ambulatory centers.
• Train staff and supervise technicians and interns; resolve customer service issues; manage billing and audits.
• Inventory control, equipment care, and accurate cash handling.
