Qualifications

• Experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS shipping systems preferred.
• Experience in high-volume production or fulfillment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment.
• Verify that the correct shipping label and documentation are matched to each order.
• Package medications securely and according to procedures and shipping requirements.
• Process shipments using pharmacy and carrier shipping systems.
• Sort completed packages by carrier, shipping method, or pickup requirements.
• Monitor shipping queues and prioritize orders based on cutoff times and service levels.
• Assist with carrier pickups and ensure packages are ready before scheduled pickup deadlines.
• Identify and elevate damaged packages, shipping discrepancies, or other potential errors.
• Assist with refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments when applicable.
• Follow pharmacy policies on patient privacy and PHI.
• Maintain an organized shipping area and keep supplies stocked.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, stocking, or other operations duties as needed.
• Communicate shipping problems promptly to leadership.
• Meet productivity and accuracy expectations while focusing on patient safety.
