Job summary

Hallandale Pharmacy is seeking a Shipping Clerk to ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of medications. You will scan items, verify orders, and generate shipping labels and packing confirmations for the Packing Department.

Responsibilities include processing compounded orders, printing documentation, verifying order details, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant, GMP-grade workspace. Prior warehouse or shipping experience is a plus; strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for scanning each medication to verify that the correct items are being prepared for delivery within the agreed timeframe. Once verified, a shipping label and a packing confirmation are generated and forwarded to the Packing Department, which will carry the order through the next stages of fulfillment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and process prescription orders for compounded medications in accordance with established procedures.
• Generate and print accurate shipping labels, patient documentation, and related paperwork.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of order information prior to labeling.
• Ensure that all printed materials (labels, instructions, safety info) meet regulatory and company quality standards.
• Organize printed labels and documentation for packaging teams.
• Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality (HIPAA or equivalent).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace in accordance with GMP and safety regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Fast-paced work environment setting.
• Ability to lift and move light to medium-weight boxes and racks.
• Ability to stand or walk for an extended period of time during an 8 to 10 hours shift.
