Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in retail or pharmacy operations preferred.
• Ability to perform prescription data entry and insurance billing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information including patient, prescriber, drug, insurance, and basic problem resolution.
• Process new and refill prescriptions and obtain refill authorization when permitted by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and label/dispense into containers where allowed by state law.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and input customer data into the computer system.
• Maintain pharmacy department cleanliness and organization.
• Assist in inventory management including order review, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
