Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield in Missouri is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I – Receiving to join our pharmacy team in a full-time, early-morning role. You will receive shipments, unload trucks, stock medications and supplies, and maintain accurate inventory levels under the supervision of a pharmacist.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, is registered with the State Board of Pharmacy, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active registration with State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician.
• One year of pharmacy-related experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming pharmaceutical shipments.
• Unload delivery trucks and stock medications and supplies.
• Input data into EPIC and prepare medication orders for pharmacist verification.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper storage of drugs.
• Operate pharmacy automation technology and assist with troubleshooting.
