Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician I to join our Pharmacy team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, handling medication preparation, dispensing support, and inventory management to ensure safe, accurate patient care.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, State Board registration or ability to obtain, and CPhT certification within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active registration with the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willingness to obtain.
• CPhT certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and medication information into EPIC.
• Prepare medications for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Retrieve, count, package, and label medications accurately.
• Assist with sterile compounding preparation and training as applicable.
• Fill medication orders and prescriptions in a timely manner.
• Receive, stock, and maintain medication inventory.
• Deliver medications to patients and nursing units after pharmacist verification.
