PharMerica, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator in Milwaukee to manage inventory and procurement for non-retail pharmacy operations. The role emphasizes maintaining optimal stock levels, backorder resolution, and collaboration with wholesalers and internal warehouses.

Requirements include Wisconsin registration and an associate degree or two years of college (or a Bachelor's degree).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college education; One year of professional experience or Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal pharmacy inventory by managing min/max stock levels, forecasting needs, and purchasing from wholesalers and internal warehouses.
• Actively manage and resolve drug backorders, including sourcing alternatives from other pharmacies or suppliers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to drug purchasing and inventory management.
• Report temporary out products to wholesaler's customer service to ensure supply chain communication.
• Inform management promptly of critical drug shortages that may affect patient therapy.
• Adjust inventory min/max thresholds in response to volume changes or new business demands.
• Support the implementation of new contracts and programs across field locations.
• Monitor participation in cost-saving programs and strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Ensure all new drug products are acquired and entered into the system.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction or operational efficiency in purchasing and inventory processes.
• Perform additional duties to support pharmacy operations.

• Support the implementation of new contracts and programs across field pharmacy locations.
