Job summary

PharMerica in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our closed-door pharmacy team. You will enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system, handle basic drug calculations, and support dispensing under a Pharmacist's supervision.

Requirements include a Milwaukee Pharmacy Technician license, a high school diploma, pharmacy experience, strong computer skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to identify medications.
• Detail oriented, goal oriented, team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify medication orders with high accuracy.
• Perform basic drug calculations, dosage, and conversions.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials and follow up in POS systems.
• Stay updated on Medicaid claim regulations and ensure processing compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service and support dispensing under supervision.

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri 1230p-9p
• Every other 3rd weekend
• Ossacional Sunday

• Active Milwaukee Pharmacy Technician License

As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician you will:

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Desired:

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
