Job summary

University Health seeks a Pharmacy Manager to oversee and manage pharmacy services across a dynamic, matrixed environment. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Pharmacy, you will ensure high-quality, cost-effective services and exceptional customer service to patients and staff.

The role requires a Pharm.D. or PharmD-equivalent, 5 years as a pharmacist, and 3 years of management experience, with residency or board certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a pharmacist
• 3 years of management or supervisory experience
• Familiarity with current pharmacy practice standards, laws, and regulations

Responsibilities

• Oversee, plan and manage pharmacy services in assigned area or location
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and efficient pharmacy services
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (TJC, OSHA, CMS/Medicaid, Texas Board of Pharmacy, USP 795/797/800, URAC, ACHC, DEA)
• Serve as liaison with patients, physicians and healthcare professionals to resolve issues and optimize patient care
