Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician for the night shift in Cabin Creek, WV. You will input orders and resident data, ensuring accurate, timely medication processing under supervision.

The role requires WV registration/certification for pharmacy technicians, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills to coordinate with staff and facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician in WV.
• Experience in pharmacy or related fields preferred.
• LTC pharmacy experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• High School or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill orders into the pharmacy system for staff pharmacist review.
• Review and input resident information to dispense medications safely and cost-effectively.
• Maintain resident and patient data in the pharmacy system; update and correct as needed.

Job Address: 15063 MacCorkle Avenue Cabin Creek, WV 25035 Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, Night Shift Under general supervision of an Order Entry Supervisor, and in accordance with local, state, federal and company laws and regulations ensure delivery of excellent customer service through fast, professional and accurate communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and input new/readmitted residents to include all pertinent information required to dispense medications in a safe, cost-effective manner for the resident.
• Maintain resident specific information by entering new information, updating and correcting information in pharmacy computer system as required.
• Use proper phone etiquette to provide facility/resident services.
• Triage patient calls to appropriate party.
• Answer phones to respond to orders inquires.
• Enter new and refill orders into pharmacy computer system for Staff Pharmacist review.
• Maintain customers’ specific information by entering new information, updating and correcting information in pharmacy computer system as required.
• Answer phones to respond to orders inquires.
• Place outbound calls to facilities to clarify orders as needed.
• Triage incoming faxes promptly and accurately.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with billing operations specialists.

Qualifications

• MUST BE a Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of WV
• Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields
• LTC pharmacy experience a plus
