Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician for the midshift in Cabin Creek, WV. The role focuses on accurate data entry for medication dispensing and serves as a key point of contact for facility and resident services.

The position emphasizes third-party billing support, payer communications, and collaboration with billing operations teams to resolve rejections, process prior authorizations, and ensure compliant claims for commercial, federal, and state plans.

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and an orientation to detail is required.
• Must possess good general office skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and input new/readmitted residents to include all pertinent information required to dispense medications in a safe, cost-effective manner for the resident.
• Use proper phone etiquette to provide facility/resident services.
• Triage patient calls to appropriate party.
• Function as primary third party billing resource for Outpatient pharmacy staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve billing rejections and subsequently rebill claims to appropriate carrier for all commercial, federal, and state insurance plans.
• Submit prior authorization requests, follow up on submitted prior authorization requests, and submit claims with approvals as appropriate.
• Contact payers for medication overrides when appropriate.
• Assist with prescription audits.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with billing operations specialists and Accounts Payable/Receivable.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of third-party billing policies and procedures.
• Educate pharmacy staff about third-party billing policies and procedures as needed.

The West Virginia Pharmacy Solutions Group is currently recruiting Pharmacy Order Entry Technicians- Mid Shift.

This shift runs from 3pm to 3am and works 7 days on and 7 days off.
