Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician for Night Shift at our Broadview Heights, OH location. Under supervision, you will ensure fast, accurate order entry and communication with facilities and residents to support safe dispensing of medications.

You will input new and refill orders, maintain resident data in the pharmacy system, and coordinate with billing teams. Prior pharmacy experience and OH registration are required.

Responsibilities

• Review and input new/readmitted residents to dispense medications safely and cost-effectively.
• Maintain resident information in the pharmacy computer system and update data as needed.
• Use phone etiquette to assist facilities and triage calls.
• Answer phones and respond to order inquiries; place orders into the system for pharmacist review.
• Maintain customer information accurately in the system.

9299 Market Place Broadview Heights, OH 44147 Pharmacy Order Entry Technician, Night Shift Under general supervision of an Order Entry Supervisor, and in accordance with local, state, federal and company laws and regulations ensure delivery of excellent customer service through fast, professional and accurate communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and input new/readmitted residents to include all pertinent information required to dispense medications in a safe, cost-effective manner for the resident.
• Maintain resident specific information by entering new information, updating and correcting information in pharmacy computer system as required.
• Use proper phone etiquette to provide facility/resident services.
• Triage patient calls to appropriate party.
• Answer phones to respond to orders inquires.
• Enter new and refill orders into pharmacy computer system for Staff Pharmacist review.
• Maintain customers’ specific information by entering new information, updating and correcting information in pharmacy computer system as required.
• Answer phones to respond to orders inquires.
• Place outbound calls to facilities to clarify orders as needed.
• Triage incoming faxes promptly and accurately.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with billing operations specialists.

Qualifications

• MUST BE a Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Ohio
• Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields
• LTC pharmacy experience a plus
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• High School or Equivalent
