Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time, non-clinical pharmacy technician to support day-to-day operations under a pharmacist's supervision.

The role focuses on patient registration, data entry, prescription processing, and ensuring efficient workflow to deliver a positive patient experience. The position includes leading training and performance management of technicians, coordinating inventory and reports, and supporting vaccination services and health screenings as allowed by law.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
• PTCB certification and High School diploma or equivalent are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with patient care, including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients, counting and verifying where allowed by law.
• Assist with healthcare services including vaccines and health screenings where permitted by law.
• Delegate non-clinical work within company policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure on-time tasks.
• Prepare, file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
