Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and patient services. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will process prescriptions, assist in patient registration, data entry, and participate in healthcare service offerings where allowed by law.

You will lead technicians, manage scheduling and training, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities to ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under supervision.
• Lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians and assistants as directed by management.
