Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree; licensure as a pharmacist in the applicable states
• Experience with prescription filling, recordkeeping, and insurance billing; understanding of state and federal regulations
• Demonstrated ability to lead pharmacy staff, oversee training, and conduct performance reviews
• Familiarity with pharmacy workflow, compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management
• Knowledge of Good Faith Dispensing policy and compliance with controlled substance laws

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, interactions, and safety; refers to medical providers as needed
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management
• Verifies and dispenses prescribed medications in accordance with laws and policies
• Oversees pharmacy operations, scheduling, roles, and shift changes
• Maintains pharmacy systems, inventory, billing, and clinical documentation; supports IT needs
• Manages staff performance, training, and development; conducts performance reviews
• Engages with local medical community and promotes health services
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow across the pharmacy
