Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing and compliance.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Internal candidates: average leadership rating and no disciplinary actions in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, and generics.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies; oversees scheduling and workflows.
• Maintains information technology knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff and patients.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed accurately and resolves patient issues with insurers.
• Follows up with medical providers regarding prescriptions, dosages, refills, and interactions.
