HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX, seeks an experienced Mgr Pharm Ops to lead pharmacy operations, supervise staff and support the Director of Pharmacy with daily workflow and policy adherence.

The role focuses on maintaining patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, budgeting, staffing, and performance coaching to ensure safe medication use and efficient operations across the department.

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD. Degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy Required
• 4 years’ experience as a hospital pharmacist. Required
• ASHP accredited residency or advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS)

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises Pharmacy operations including policy formulation and day-to-day workflow of the department
• Assists in planning, development, organization, operation, and evaluation of pharmacy services; coordinates with management team
• Assists in maintaining information systems to optimize pharmacy workflow
• Assists with staff development, new employee orientation, and ongoing training in the pharmacy
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and quality assurance activities to ensure safe medication practices
• Assists with budget preparation and cost-containment initiatives for medication use and operations
• Coordinates with informatics, procurement, and scheduling to ensure efficient operations
