Job summary

Walgreens in Renton, WA is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support daily non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and non-clinical calls, while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

You will lead technician training and performance management, oversee scheduling, and support immunization services and health screenings where permitted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• PTCB certification must be obtained
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative tasks
• Assist pharmacist in patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings, and other services allowed by law
• Manage pharmacy workflow and delegate non-clinical tasks within policy and law
• Ensure accurate insurance processing and resolve related issues
• Participate in training, coaching, and performance management of technicians
