Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician in Michigan to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure an efficient workflow and positive patient experience.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with prescription processing, data entry, patient registration, and may participate in vaccine administration and health services as allowed by law, while coaching and supporting pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verification (where allowed by law).
• Under supervision, assist with healthcare service offerings including administering vaccines, health screenings, and any health services allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy to ensure on-time completion and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain records and inventory management tasks per policies and regulatory requirements.
