Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited five-year College of Pharmacy, including formal training in clinical pharmacy practice or ASHP Introduction to Clinical Pharmacy.
• Requires current registration as a Pharmacist in the State of Illinois.
• Requires three years of professional experience as a registered, practicing pharmacist, dispensing drugs and billing payers in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, evaluate, formulate and execute the Statewide Medicaid Pharmacy Benefit (PBM) Program.
• Contribute to drug utilization evaluations to inform policies and procedures for drug coverage and outcomes.
• Perform pharmacoeconomic analysis of drugs within a PDL class.
• Serve as working supervisor and liaise with EDW contract staff to update reports.
• Prepare rebate documents with manufacturers and ensure accurate invoicing.
