Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Administration leader to drive performance improvements in medication safety, pharmacoeconomics, and regulatory compliance within the Home Delivery Pharmacy Services department.

The role leads training, budgeting, and interdisciplinary collaboration with pharmacists, residents, and students; requires PharmD, state licensure, and several years of leadership experience in a health-system setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist credential required prior to hire; licensure in the applicable state.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
• 3 years of experience or completion of a Health System Pharmacy Administration residency.
• MBA or MHA highly preferred.
• 5 years as a pharmacist; management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement performance improvement initiatives focused on medication safety and pharmacoeconomic outcomes.
• Design and oversee competency assessments, training programs, and professional development for pharmacists, residents, and students.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees to support organizational goals and quality improvement.
