Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Pharmacist for its Home Delivery Pharmacy Services in Austin, TX. The role focuses on accurate dispensing for mail-order and retail operations, patient counseling, and collaboration with physicians and staff.

The position requires pharmacist licensure with a Bachelor’s or PharmD in Pharmacy; master's/PharmD preferred. Retail/mail-order experience is highly preferred, with full-time day shift and 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure required.
• Bachelor's or PharmD degree in Pharmacy.
• Retail and mail-order pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medications for mail-order and retail pharmacy operations.
• Review medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems; suggest formulary alternatives when appropriate.
• Compound and dispense medications accurately and ensure timely delivery and adherence to standards.
• Provide drug information, patient counseling, and education to patients, physicians, and staff; communicate with healthcare providers.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff; provide coverage and assist with training/precepting students.

Education

Bachelor's or PharmD in Pharmacy

Master's or Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred
