Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a pharmacist to support Home Delivery Pharmacy Services on a day-shift, full-time basis. You will analyze prescribing trends, identify access barriers, and monitor the pharmaceutical pipeline to optimize internal capture and reduce leakage.

The role requires a pharmacist license, a pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred), and experience in specialty pharmacy within a hospital health-system or equivalent setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license required before hire date.
• Bachelor's or PharmD degree; PharmD preferred.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy and hospital settings is desirable.
• Strong communication and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze prescribing trends and external dispensing patterns to identify leakage risks.
• Investigate access barriers and network restrictions affecting specialty prescriptions.
• Monitor drug approvals, label expansions, and distribution requirements for future opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical, operations, finance, and contracting teams to optimize workflows.
• Maintain tracking tools and deliver regular performance reports to leadership.
