Job summary

Amazon Pharmacy in Florida seeks a Pharmacy Manager to oversee operations of a small-format site, leading pharmacists and technicians to ensure safety, quality and customer satisfaction. The role includes dispensing support, process oversight, and driving Lean improvements while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD or Science degree, an active pharmacist license, robust data skills, and 2+ years of leadership in pharma operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, or Doctor of Pharmacy in PharmD, or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in all states requiring Non-resident PIC.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Strong oral and written communication and ability to analyze, problem-solve and prioritize.
• Able to manage detail, establish root cause and manipulate data.
• 1 year Staff Pharmacist experience within Amazon Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, quality, performance and customer experience of operations.
• Manage daily site operations, meet CPT times for same‑day deliveries.
• Evaluate physician orders for drug, dosage, interactions; propose changes to prescriber.
• Set expectations for employees; measure performance and give feedback.
• Educate staff on policies and reporting guidelines for quality practices.
• Drive quality initiatives and Lean improvements to meet operating plan.
• Manage workflow and escalations; delegate with leadership team.
• Adhere to local, state and federal pharmacy laws and changes.
• Coordinate with legal to maintain licensure with state boards; monitor requirements.
• Align policies with accrediting bodies (BOP, VIPPS, URAC, DEA, FDA, USP).
• Develop talent and leadership; plan succession and growth.
• Implement changes to improve service, reduce cost, and enhance contribution.
• Maintain patient profiles in PharmacyOS/Pharmacy Lite with history.
