Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations, patient registration, prescription data entry and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision.

You will engage customers, resolve issues, assist with insurance claims and support vaccine services while ensuring compliance with company policies and laws. The role includes coaching staff and managing daily workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• PTCB certification is required (except Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital settings.
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English is required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care, including registration, data entry and medication preparation.
• Count and verify medications where allowed by law under pharmacist supervision.
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings, and other services as permitted by law.
• Lead, train and coach pharmacy technicians; manage performance and scheduling.
• Ensure accurate insurance claims processing and assist in store financials and audits.
