Job summary

Walgreens in Purcellville, VA is seeking a full-time certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with non-clinical operations and daily workflow. You will handle prescription processing under supervision, assist with patient registration, and help deliver vaccine and health services where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, and provide excellent customer service.
• Support vaccination services and health screenings where allowed by law, and manage inventory and records.
