Job summary

Walgreens in Maryland seeks a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and patient interactions. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, process prescriptions, assist with patient registration, and participate in vaccine administration where allowed by law.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, ensure compliance with policies, and help maintain inventory and store operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative tasks.
• Assist pharmacist with prescription processing and patient registration.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of technicians.
• Ensure accurate insurance processing and resolve payer issues.
• Maintain inventory and ensure security and asset protection.
