Job summary

Walgreens Co. in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a full-time, non-clinical pharmacy technician to support day-to-day operations, patient registration, data entry, and dispensing under pharmacist supervision.

You will lead training and performance management of techs, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with laws and company policies. You will coordinate with pharmacists, cashiers, and support staff to maintain accurate records, process prescriptions, and participate in healthcare service offerings

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with patient care activities including registration, data entry and dispensing.
• Lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure efficient workflow and accurate insurance processing.
