Job summary

Hometown Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists with clerical duties, fill prescriptions, and supervise a team of technicians. You will handle inventory, labeling, and packaging while maintaining confidentiality and complying with regulations.

The role requires strong communication skills and experience with cycle/daily filling procedures, plus the ability to train Level 1–3 technicians. This is a leadership-heavy technician role in a busy pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred or prior experience.
• High School Diploma required; professional standard documented in handbook.
• Experience reflecting Hometown Pharmacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor Level 1–3 Pharmacy Technicians; manage scheduling.
• Communicate with Facilities Coordinator and Pharmacist Manager.
• Collaborate with department coordinators to keep tasks on track.
• Ensure filling area tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Train and delegate: cycle filling, printing labels, MARs, and delivery lists.
• Label, package, and count prescriptions; ensure accuracy per regulations.
• Utilize robotic systems and software to package medications.
• Assist inventory, stocking, and removal of out-of-date items.
