Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support daily non-clinical and administrative pharmacy operations. Under pharmacist supervision, you will process prescriptions, handle patient data, and assist with inventory and records, while supervising pharmacy technicians and cashiers as needed.

You will engage customers, resolve non-clinical questions, and support vaccination and health screening services where allowed by law, contributing to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
• Previous people management/ leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities.
• Assist pharmacist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications.
• Conduct patient and physician calls under supervision of a pharmacist and support vaccine administration and health services where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work within company policies while ensuring on-time task completion.
• Prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies.
• Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, security safeguards, and recordkeeping under pharmacist supervision.
• Communicate prescription errors and align with continuous quality improvement programs.
