Job summary

Walgreens in Lincoln, NE is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision. You will help with patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation, while leading technician training and performance management to ensure efficient workflow.

You will participate in vaccines and health services as allowed by law, manage records, and uphold Good Faith Dispensing standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico)
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including patient registration and prescription data entry
• Prepare medications for patients; count, verify and package under pharmacist supervision
• Support vaccine administration, health screenings, and other allowed health services
• Manage non-clinical tasks and workflow to ensure timely operations and accuracy
• Oversee training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians
• Ensure proper recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance with policies and laws
