Job summary

KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. in Waterbury, VT seeks a Pharmacist Manager responsible for implementing and adhering to the Kinney Standard of Practice and for the overall management of the Pharmacy Department.

The role requires a BS or PharmD, an active State Pharmacy license, and prior pharmacist experience; duties include dispensing, QA, audits, inventory control, regulatory compliance, staff scheduling, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Valid State Pharmacist license and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
• Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of a shift.
• Certified immunizer.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Dispress prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with Kinney Standard of Practice.
• Perform quality assurance steps to ensure accuracy of prescriptions and report dispensing incidents.
• Ensure compliance with all State and Federal pharmacy guidelines.
• Oversee submission and collection of third-party claims.
• Manage pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while maintaining in-stock levels.
• Maintain prescription files and manual records per regulations.
• Ensure in-store technology is used effectively to maximize ROI.
• Provide exceptional customer service and uphold loss prevention policies.
• Assist in implementing corporate marketing and promotional programs.
• Maintain a clean, professional environment and ensure safety for customers and staff.
• Develop professional relationships with doctors and healthcare professionals.
• Monitor developments in Pharmacy and Healthcare Services and integrate into practice.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinate training and scheduling of staff and manage budget within guidelines.
