Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time, non-clinical Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations in Dickinson, Texas. Under a pharmacist’s supervision, you will process prescriptions, enter data, and assist with vaccines and health services where permitted by law.

You will lead technician training and performance management, coordinate workflow, and ensure compliance with policies, laws, and security measures while maintaining a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, data entry, medication preparation and verification.
• Support vaccine administration and health services where allowed by law.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Manage pharmacy workflow, scheduling, and daily operations to ensure accurate dispensing and customer satisfaction.
• Handle insurance claim processing and communication with providers/insurers to reduce rejections.
• Oversee non-clinical staff performance and discipline under company policies.
