Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical operations and patient services in our store pharmacy. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will handle prescription data entry, medications preparation, and customer-facing duties to ensure a smooth, friendly patient experience.

You will also lead technician training, manage scheduling, and contribute to inventory control and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico) required.
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients and verify orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and follow up with providers and insurers.
• Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory and compliance with company policies.
